Amarjit is Lead Partner for the Family Team. Amarjit advises on all aspects of family law, including divorce, financial matters, nuptial agreements, cohabitation and separation agreements, as well as resolving issues concerning children. The aim is to help clients make informed decisions to resolve their legal issues in a sensible, constructive and cost-effective manner.
Amarjit qualified as a solicitor in February 2002 and has been with Taylor Rose since January 2017.
His experience includes:
Representing a client following a divorce overseas to reach a financial settlement in this jurisdiction;
Representing clients where marital assets are frozen to prevent transfer or disposition;
Representing clients in financial applications where third parties intervene claiming an interest in matrimonial assets;
Advising and preparing pre/ post nuptial agreements, cohabitation and separation agreements including those involving assets held in other jurisdictions;
Representing and advising clients on child arrangements orders, prohibited steps orders, specific issue orders as well as removal from jurisdiction applications;
Representing a client to have a child returned to their care in the interim following the refusal of the other parent to return the child;
Representing clients in cases concerning child arrangements involving allegations of child abuse, domestic abuse, substance abuse, and parental alienation
Amarjit is accredited to the Law Society’s Children Panel.
