John qualified as a solicitor in 1989.
John is our Legal Head for Clinical Negligence & Civil Litigation as well as our Consultant Legal Head for our Personal Injury Department.
He has been involved in litigation since 1983 with a background working for Private Practice, Health and Local Authorities.
For the last 17 years, John’s roles have been advisory rather than undertaking client facing litigation. He is particularly involved in initial and ongoing risk assessments in respect of prospects of success and appropriate methods of funding.
His work is now entirely advisory and supervisory across a broad range of litigious matters but in particular: Clinical Negligence, Civil Litigation, Personal Injury and Contentious Probate.
For the last 14 years, John has divided his time between London and Rio De Janeiro, taking the concept of working from home to its logical conclusion.
John also speaks Portuguese (Brazilian) and Schoolboy Russian
