Sheila qualified as a Solicitor in 1982 and has specialised in family law since. She has been on the Children Panel for over 30 years and has extensive experience of care proceedings taken by the local authority.
Sheila often represents parents and children in court. She has represented parents with drug & alcohol problems, mental health problems and also learning difficulties. Sheila always listens to and takes on board what parents say. She has successfully appealed against an adoption order. (The daughter returned to her mother).
Almost all of Sheilas work is legally aided therefore she has a lot of knowledge of legal aid.
