Sonia is a Solicitor in our medical negligence department. She has experience dealing with a wide variety of cases including surgical errors, orthopaedic injuries, delays in diagnosing cancers and strokes including bringing a successful stroke case to trial. She has also dealt with cases involving internal injuries of a urological, gynaecological and colorectal nature with particular experience in rectal prolapse mesh cases. She has an interest in handling fatal cases including representing bereaved families in inquest hearings where a death has arisen from medical negligence.
Sonia brings years of experience handling and being involved in birth injury cases securing life changing multi-million pound settlements that provide essential care packages for injured children and much needed support for their families.
She is known for her approachable and empathetic nature providing her clients with guidance and support to navigate the complex legal process after experiencing life-changing injuries.
Sonia qualified as a Solicitor in 2014 at McMillian Williams Solicitors (now Taylor Rose) before relocating to the South West in 2018 joining a highly ranked law firm in Bristol. She returned to Taylor Rose in February 2024. Sonia’s work in the South West has been noted in the Legal 500 and mentioned as a key lawyer in 2023. She continues to be recognised as a key lawyer in the London region in the Legal 500 in 2024.
Sonia is the Chair of trustees of a Bristol based charity, Cerebral Palsy Plus, which supports members with cerebral palsy to help them lead independent lives.
