Stephanie Chan is a Solicitor in the Medical Negligence Department; she joined in October 2023 as a NQ. Stephanie graduated with First Class Honours in Biology from Queen Mary, University of London before attaining a Commendation in the Graduate Diploma in Law. Stephanie subsequently achieved a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course whilst working as a Paralegal. During Stephanie’s legal studies, she also took part in various Pro Bono projects and her significant contribution to Pro Bono work was recognised by BPP University.
Prior to joining Taylor Rose, Stephanie gained years of experience in the field of Medical Negligence as a Paralegal (subsequently promoted to Senior Paralegal) at a highly ranked law firm; she was a member of the winning “Clinical Negligence Team of the Year” Personal Injury Awards 2022. She worked on a range of complex and high-value medical cases. She has considerable experience of working on cases from the outset (new client enquiry stage) and all the way to conclusion (settlement meetings/trial).
Stephanie has experience of working in the NHS, which in combination with her scientific and legal background allows her to adopt a unique perspective when approaching cases.
Stephanie is building up her own caseload and she also assists the clinical negligence team. She works very closely with Andrew Bentham who is a Partner in the department.
