Cheryl is a Consultant Chartered Legal Executive here at Taylor Rose.
Cheryl studied Law at the University of Buckingham, receiving the prize for Best Performance two years in a row and was awarded a First Class Law Degree and an Inner Temple scholarship to undertake the Bar Vocational Course, where she gained her academic qualifications as Barrister at the BPP Law School in London. She was called to the Bar in 2009.
Following a career in the police where Cheryl gained particular expertise working on complex domestic abuse cases and trained as an advanced interviewer of vulnerable adults preparing cases for Crown Court, Cheryl has a wealth of experience in working on cases involving vulnerable clients. She has worked in family law for over 4 years specialising in family court cases involving domestic abuse or vulnerable adults/children who have disabilities and special educational needs.
She has particular expertise in domestic abuse injunctions as she has partnered for over 4 years with Women's Aid and other domestic abuse charities working on complex Family Law Act cases and was previously the Head of Legal for the National Centre for the Domestic Violence and organisation that supports survivors of abuse with over 8000 injunctions every year.
