UK business immigration - no route now available by simply investing

Since 2022 the UK has deliberately moved away from "investment immigration." You can no longer gain residence simply by investing money. All current routes require active business involvement and innovation and economic contribution beyond investment .

Available routes in 2024 are now :-

• Innovator Founder Visa

• Start-up Visa

• Global Talent (exceptional business leaders)

• Skilled Worker (employed positions)

Which option is the most popular?

Based on current UK immigration data, from most common to least :-

• Skilled Worker visa - Most used route for business/work

• Start-up visa

• Innovator Founder visa (still new, replacing previous Innovator visa)

• Global Talent

The Start-up route sees more applications than Innovator Founder because of:

• Lower entry requirements

• No investment needed

• Ability to work elsewhere while developing business

• Easier endorsement process

However, Start-up's limitation to 2 years makes it less valuable long-term than Innovator Founder's settlement route.
