Legal Q2 Director's Award Winner - Khalid Zeidan

Congratulations to Khalid Zeidan who has won our Legal Directors Award for Q2 2022!

Khalid is a case handler in our re-mortgage department based in our Bishop’s Stortford office, he has been with the firm for a total of 7 years. The type of work Khalid handles includes fast track re-mortgages on behalf of Virgin Money.

He have received stellar reviews for his work, it has been noted how efficient and easy he makes the entire process for his clients, guiding and updating them accordingly to complete the smoothest transition possible.

Khalid thoroughly enjoys spending time with his co-workers and finds the more technical aspects of re-mortgage such as dealing with restrictions on land registry titles the most challenging part. He explains that the way he overcomes the more technical aspects is by “working with colleagues and managers to understand the issues to resolve them in a logical manner”.

When asked what his key to successes is, Khalid believes it is essential to plan out your day in advance. This promotes the prioritisation of work in order to complete it in the most efficient manner.

Following from this, Khalid’s one tip to colleagues is to “organise daily tasks into categories so you know what work you can get through quickly and then you can focus on more complex tasks.”

Khalid believes that Taylor Rose has helped him develop both personally and in his career, due to the opportunities given to work in multiple roles. This has allowed him to develop a plethora of skills that can now be applied to both his everyday life and current position with the firm.

Khalid outside of work

Khalid was born in Saudi Arabia and has three brothers and a stepmother all whom he names the most important people in his life.

Outside of work Khalid loves to read, his favourite books being the Harry Potter series as he can always rely on them to be an enjoyable read. Like Crookshanks, Khalid’s favourite animals are cats.

He also enjoys watching films and tv shows; Khalid named The Lord of the Rings trilogy as his favourite films even much so that he watched each film the year they came out in the cinema. He describes the trilogy as “not only great films, but an experience”. Something else Khalid loves to experience is snacking on sugary treats, something he named as his guilty pleasure.

Egypt is Khalid’s favourite travel destination due to having a lot of family that live here. He also shares a lot of fond memories in Egypt from his childhood so it will always have a safe place in his heart.
