Jade Brown

Solicitor - Civil liberties

Jade qualified as a Solicitor in 2014 and joined us in 2018.

Jade has a degree in Law from Kings College London and achieved a distinction in her Legal Practice Course which she completed at the College of Law London.

Jade specialises in actions against the police and civil actions against other detaining authorities. She has extensive experience in claims against the police including discrimination, assault and battery, wrongful arrest, false imprisonment, malicious prosecution and unlawful disclosure/retention of personal data.

Jade also has experience in bringing judicial reviews against various state authorities and representing bereaved families during inquest proceedings and in subsequent damages claims. Jade has also worked on claims against local authorities mainly involving historical abuse claims and been involved in public inquiries including the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse.

Jade is a member of the Police Actions Lawyers Group and Inquest Lawyers Group. She is also a panel solicitor for the Centre for Women’s Justice.

Jade enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends.
